old scars hurting. possible trigger

About feb time I cut the worst i've ever cut, it didn't hurt and healed well (bar a teeny infection I had under one of the staples) Now though it hurts sometimes, like a stabby pain and it itches often even though its almost totally healed. will this stop? I dont have any problems with my other scars so I don't know if this is normal.

I often get this in my larger scars, I think its healing or nerve niggles but when I mentioned it to the dr they just said ok and nothing else *rolls eyes*
So I am assuming that its nothing to worry about, but if you are worried I would talk to your dr.

thanks, I am not really worried I just wonder if this will stop eventually, because its strange and its annoying as it keeps reminding me its there its sort of triggering.

From my experience with deeper cuts, the sensations youre describing sound like healing process. While the upper skin might be healing quickly it takes longer for the tissues and nerve endings underneath to knit back together. It will stop after a while.

Sorry to hear its triggering to you, but could you maybe shed a positive light on it? It feels weird because your body is working on healing itself, and in a way thats taking care of you. Look after yourself when you can, i hope it starts to feel better soon for you. I still use bio oil on my old scars that were once serious cuts, it helps take the taughtness out.
