really painful scar - any help?
« on: November 21, 2012, 02:09:02 AM »
Ok so I kind of lost it a few weeks ago and cut a lot worse than I ever have before. I did go andget it looked at, they stitched it and I looked after it properly and waited for them to take the stitches out on the right day etc and have made sure I rest my arm ( cut on bicep). It hasn't really been itchy and ive been using aqueous cream regularly.

But the scar aches a lot, it pulls when I move my arm and hurts more than when I did it if anything at all touches it.

There is no sign of any kind of infection and it healed well otherwise.

The scar is quite sunken in and it now kind of looks like ive had a tight band round my arm for ages.

There is also odd times when it feels like someone just stabbed it, for about 30 seconds then its fine.

Normal or not? Anything I can do?

I'd suggest getting it checked out again, it sounds a little like a nerve may be damaged. xx xx

 grrr why am I such an idiot?!?

::-\: if that is right I think I might be in more trouble for having done that. I dont even really understand it either. Totally zoned out from what I was doing and snapped out of it when I felt faint. Vy then it was lots more than id normally allow.

If it is that... Is there anything I can do about it? Is there no way I can avoid a GP on this ( I hate them)?

I had a look on their website and cant find any info on it. I am really bad at phones unless its work related. I could try but I think i might wait and ask the psychiatrist what he thinks when I see him. Only a couple of weeks till then. Just feel like an idiot.

That would be awesome but I wouldnt want to use up you time.

Id love to think that all the hassle this one has caused will prevent me doing it again...but I wasnt 'there' so I doubt it
