Really embarrassing
« on: May 19, 2013, 09:49:41 PM »

I am currently on a new sleeeping tablet and I have looked at the side effects and it says nothing about this one.

I am on Zolpidem as a replacement to phennegan and clonazepam and I am having excess saliva so I am tending to dribble when I don't want to.

THe other effect I am noticing is that I am more awake in the mornings which is really nice but the problem is I am only on the zolpidem for a short time period.

I know of a service user at work dribbling due to a medication change. But that was stopped because of that effect. Maybe contact the person that described it?

“It is our choices...that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”

I haven't found dribbling cos of zolpidem and have been on max dose for a while

If dribbling persists you could ask about quells (anti-seasickness pills) they can be quite effective

I am able to control it if I concentrate as much as I can on controlling it.

Will try and ask for quells.

I am finding the Zolpidem does not give me a hangover in the morning at all, in fact I am quite awake in the morning.

I know some meds cause dry mouth but it goes after a few weeks so maybe that will be the case with this? although I read that this is a short term med.
Is it definatly excess saliva, not a weakness in the lips causing it to leak?
hope you can work out a way of controlling it. xx

No it's definitely excess saliva, I am having to really think about controlling it, I read up and this is not normally a side effect.

I woke hubbie up at five am this morning to get up, I am so awake in the morning.
