I can't accept compliments but take criticism personally.

Sometimes I struggle to be assertive and often just go along with others to keep the peace even if I'm the one who's affected.

I also struggle when people are nice or compliment me, it's because I have low self esteem and think they secretly don't like me.

Same here but I can't blame people for disliking me, I dislike me (understatement!). Plus, most people seem to be full of crap a lot of the time and they say things that they don't mean so how could we tell if it's a real compliment or a fake one anyway? So either way it's hard to believe when someone compliments me. :confused0006:

I don't know when I have outstayed my welcome or if I am leaving too early.

Feeling like I am not doing something right - anything that isn't perfect = not right = failing.
“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.”

“It is our choices...that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”

“Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”

So you struggle with low self esteem?

On Thurs, my psych said I could 'do with a confidence boost'. She's right.

Heard something useful recently.

Shame is the feeling I am bad.

Guilt is the feeling I did something bad.
