Well today was my last appointment with my sh support worker. Since I started with the support service way back in august 2011, I've come on a long way!
I really don't any any interest in sh now, as I realise that it isn't helpful in the short term or long term.
I would have to say I'm a bit sad to leave my support worker, as she has been a **huge** help to me over the past year, but, as she rightly says, it is time to stand on my own two feet, and learn all the skills / techniques I have learned to look after myself.
:)
I will be keeping in touch with the support group with their monthly coffee mornings for service / ex service users.
I've also been put in touch with a chap who's writing a book on s/h recovery, it seems he is interested in my experiences, so I think it would be helpful for myself to share my experiences with him.
:1059: to all!

Well done to you! I am about to start seeing a specialist SH counsellor so I hope my experience is as positive as yours.
