I had to have a skin graft a few weeks ago because of a b**n. It's very nearly healed and I saw the scar management team today and they want me fitted with a pressure garment. They said that the scar is turning hypertrophic and that means that it is thick and lumpy and might cause problems with a joint that is close by. I've had grafts before but have never needed this. Does anyone have any experiences of having to wear one? It's got to be made specially and I have to wear it all the time, apart from when I shower and put cream on it.
