Hungry
« on: October 31, 2013, 07:20:19 PM »
Today stood in front of the bananas in Tesco's I started to get very emotional, I wanted to cry. I had a very tiny amount of money in my pocket and wanted some breakfast but wanted to make sure that I had enough money for a pint of milk so I could have some porridge for my dinner.  I was light headed and very hungry and hoped that a couple of bananas would be enough.

Recently I have been to bed hungry and got up hungry. Don't get me wrong I have been eating just not enough for my needs. It is very difficult to eat enough for your needs when you don't have the money to buy the food.

I have just had the porridge and plan to stuff whatever else I can find down my throat so I go to bed on a full stomach. Tomorrow I get paid, THANK **** FOR THAT

Now I fully understand austerity.
All it needs to do is to finish off:

This is not just hot chocolate
This is Dragon's hot chocolate...

Time moves so slowly without you, until we meet again

I can remember when I was a student there was only some bread and a tin of rice pudding in the kitchen. Also with no money until the next day, rice pudding sandwiches it was - and never since!  ::P:

I remember when I lost my job and was verging on homeless. I had £2 to last me for however long it was going to take them to sort out my ESA. I used it to buy cat food as i couldnt let her starve. Lol. I now budget ever penny and it means i eat well enough and have a little to put aside for an emergency. Though I no longer have any pets as I also lost my home.
