My psych has suggested that I add lithium to my antidepressants to see if it increases their effect and stabilises my mood. I've agreed to have the pre-treatment tests, and have another appt next week to decide.
I'm wondering what other peoples experiences of lithium are? I'd be particularly interested to know if anyone else is on/knows anyone on lithium with a diagnosis of depression (rather than bipolar) and whether they found it effective.
Thanks *offers :cake: *

I don't have a bi polar diagnosis (have BPD and depression) but my consultant was considering it for me when I was in hospital, in the end we decided against it though.
Hope it helps if you decide to try it.
