pharmacist and addiction

I would really like to pursue a career in Pharmacy but I have a history of addiction, will this affect me in any way?
The Internet is so big, so powerful and pointless that for some people it is a complete substitute for life.

To hazard a guess, I'd say it depends what sort of addiction ... some are classed as illness e.g. alcohol and it would therefore be discrimination under the DDA.
