hey
I know I haven't been on here in a while. Its been a busy while and I just want to share a wee thing.
I have been sh free for just over two years and while someday its a battle with my friends/family helping me this battle is slowly getting easier.
I decide to post this after going on Safe TALK which is a suicide awareness training and I was happy to see that they stressed the self harm wasn't always linked to suicide (which I had tried to stress to my friends/family before and felt like i was hitting a brick wall) and because of my past with self harm I know want to help people who feel helpless and have no hope as I recognized that in my life. I am becoming a youth worker and also thinking of working with a suicide/self harm awareness charity as a youth worker but unsure where yet.
My boyfriend of two years and 4 months has been a rock. He's understood my past (a lot of issues from an affair to anxiety) and he loves me despite of it and says it why I am the person I am
Just wanted to encourage those who are trying to no self harm to take each day as a new day and not be hard when you do self harm.
hope this helps
