I have made it through week two of working in the pharmacy! Yesterday and today, I actually felt like I knew what I was doing - I felt on top of things, rather than feeling like I was floundering. I did all I had to do in the morning, then got everything else done throughout the day. The job is quite involved, but I felt comfortable there today and like maybe I can make it work. Last week I wasn't sure I was going to be able to do it, but I think I can now.
We had some big managers down today and they all had really positive things to say about the way I work, so that was really nice and has given me more confidence. One manager gave even gave me a hug and said he was proud of me (a bit odd, but lovely.) The other manager said that, in one of the other services like ours, they're having to do a lot of work on customer service, but that I had that sorted from day one. It's sometimes difficult to accept compliments, but it has given me a boost. I have so many doubts about myself most of the time.
There will still be ups and downs, I'm sure, but I think it'll be OK.
