how to help a client
« on: June 08, 2018, 07:24:02 PM »
Hello everyone, I hope this will be a useful arena for me to seek help for a friend.
She is 10 stone overweight and self harms by cutting.
Bulimic and loathes herself.
No parents and family to help.
NHS, not helpful .
I want to find a way to get her the help she needs, cbt not working, medication not working, exercise not working, distraction not working...

maybe start by asking them what help they would like from you? Some people already know others don't but it might give you somewhere to begin. It's also worth remembering they might not want you to help or know more. Your title says client are they a 'professional' friend or something?
