Do you know the one thing I have noticed the stronger I get and the more I move forward in life? I start to expect more and believe I deserve better things in life. Yesterday was my birthday and I did not hear a single thing from anyone who claims to be my friend. There were two people online who wished me a happy birthday and my therapist. I made the mistake of judging how far I have moved forward in my life by what happens on my birthday and yesterday happened. The postman bought me two rejection letters for jobs I had applied for.
There is nothing quite like a full on kick in the teeth when you really want to be noticed. In the past I would have used my well I don't deserve anything anyway defence mechanism. This year it has just made me question my choice of friends.
Let's be honest though if you want a job doing, then do it yourself. I have got myself some chocolate and some of my favourite tea bags wining their way to me from Ireland.
