Title: First time on antidepressants - citalopram (*poss trig SI/SH)
Post by: carrotcake on April 15, 2015, 10:06:01 PM
 :trig:

Hi,

Today I was prescribed meds for the first time since my SH occurs pretty much daily now. Citalopram [] for a month.
I've never been on antidepressants before. Has anyone else ever taken these? Were they ok? I'm a bit nervous about doing this.

Thanks x

Hi,
There's some information on experiences of various anti-depressants here http://www.nshn.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=55.0 that you might find useful.

Thanks for the reply :)

Not too bad so far... had only a few side effects at the moment (tiredness and dry mouth especially), just waiting for them to kick in. Still in the introductory 2 week period. I'm hoping they'll help to reduce the SH. Not sure how long I will need to be on these...
