Title: Would a punchbag help?
Post by: Domino on November 03, 2012, 08:56:10 PM
Was thinking of getting a punchbag to help with a bit of anger management.

Has anyone tried this? does it work?

also, I live in a bottom floor flat, neighbour above me is very old but very deaf, and does anyone know if it would be safer/quieter fixed to wall or ceiling or would a stand be better?

Thanks x

Dunno but they are quite soothing to just hug and swing on too!

i would recommend floor standing for experience

they do help to a point with anger management

particularly if you put pictures on it!!!

what i found helps better if you can afford it

is something like kicking or boxing groups

some where, where under a controlled atmosphere

there is full contact fight

but again this is my experience

because it was control so cant go in to a full on fight or brawl

but at the same time there is the out let

and violence which at that point in time is what i needed

if only we had the money that is what i would do

i hope this helps

sorry if it doesnt

Floor standing is probably best but either way they're pretty loud!

I definitely found that mine helped me to vent my anger in a safe way. xx
