Psoriasis
« on: June 15, 2012, 12:43:03 AM »
Not sure this is in the right place, feel free to move!

I suffer from stress related psoriasis, mainly on my scalp, face and ears, which sucks because it's so noticeable. I am on steroid cream, but have been told I can only use it 3 days then a week off because it's strong and the psoriasis is worst around my eyes. The cream works wonders, but it is still hugely noticeable and a day without it causes my skin to look awful. Is there any tips you can give me on how to treat this or cover it up? I have several weddings, anniversaries and parties over the summer and I really don't want to have a scabby face in all the photos!! I generally don't wear make up because my skin is so sensitive, but do you know of anything I can do to look slightly less scaley?!

Thanks! :)

I don't really eat red meat. I'm quite a fussy eater, eating only chicken, rice, pasta and peas. I've tried cutting out gluten, dairy and not drinking diet coke. But none of these seem to make a difference.

Thank you for your replies, they are appreciated! :) x

Have you tried tea tree oil? Probably not halff as effective as the steroid cream, but a girl I work with who has psoriasis swears by it.

Speak to a beautican she might help you and suggest other remedies and fixups if not speak to your gp.
